l pasado lunes 25 de agosto se celebró la 66a entrega anual de los Primetime Emmy Awards, efectuado desde el Nokia Theatre de Los Angeles y transmitido en vivo por la cadena NBC. Pese a no estar en el aire hace más de un año y al igual que entregas anteriores, “Breaking Bad” fue el gran ganador de la noche, con un total de cinco trofeos, incluyendo mejor drama y mejor actuación para Bryan Cranston, Anna Gunn y Aaron Paul. Por el lado de la comedia, “Modern Family” fue nombrada mejor serie y también ganó como mejor actor de reparto por Ty Burrell y mejor dirección de Gail Mancuso. “Sherlock: His Last Vow” también ganó tres premios.

Seth Meyers fue el anfitrión de la transmisión por televisión. Durante el show, Billy Crystal rindió homenaje a su difunto amigo Robin Williams, mientras que “Weird Al” Yankovic parodió varios de los espectáculos nominados.

Otros ganadores de la noche fueron Jim Parsons (“The Big Bang Theory“) y Julia Louis-Dreyfus (“Veep“). Por otra parte, muchos de los principales candidatos de la noche, incluyendo al reciente ganador del Oscar, Matthew McConaughey, se fue a casa con las manos vacías.
