@HBO es gran triunfadora en #EmmyAwards2019, ha sido la ceremonia menos vista √

HBO se llevó el máximo honor de drama por Game of Thrones, mientras que Fleabag de Amazon triunfó en la mejor categoría de comedia en la 71a entrega de los Primetime Emmy Awards el domingo el pasado 22 de septiembre. HBO recolectó 9 premios Emmy en la transmisión en vivo, incluida la  estrella de Game of Thrones Peter Dinklage como actor de reparto en una categoría de drama y Bill Hader de Barry en la categoría de actor principal de comedia. Chernobyl  consiguió tres victorias por escritura, dirección y serie limitada. 

Fleabag de  Amazon obtuvo cuatro victorias: para la mejor serie de comedia, Phoebe Waller-Bridge como actriz principal en una serie de comedia y escritura en una serie de comedia, y Harry Bradbeer por dirigir en una serie de comedia. Tony Shalhoub y Alex Borstein ganaron en las categorías de actores y actrices de comedia por The Marvelous Mrs.Maisel de Amazon.

Entre los premios obtenidos por Netflix, uno de los más celebrados fue el otorgado a Jharrel Jerome, joven de ascendencia dominicana que ganó como Mejor actor en una película o serie limitada por When They See Us, la dramatización sobre la injusta condena y posterior descargo de los llamados “5 de Central Park”.  

En general, incluidos los Creative Arts Emmys entregados el fin de semana pasado, HBO lideró todas las redes con 34 victorias, mientras que Netflix obtuvo 27, Amazon reclamó 15, National Geographic ganó ocho, NBC ganó siete y CNN y FX Networks obtuvieron cinco cada una. La ceremonia sin anfitrión se celebró en el Microsoft Theatre de Los Ángeles y se transmitió en vivo por Fox. 

En un aspecto negativo de la transmisión, este año los Emmy cayeron por debajo de los 7 millones por primera vez al mínimo histórico. Observada por 6.9 millones de espectadores desde las 8 p.m. hasta poco después de las 11 p.m. ET, la ceremonia sin anfitriones atrajo al público más pequeño para cualquier Emmy. Eso es una caída del 32% en los conjuntos de globos oculares en general desde la emisión del lunes en el programa en NBC el año pasado, y una caída del 39% desde la emisión del domingo anterior en CBS en 2017 (fuente Deadline).
